--> a bit of fear of dying
--> "let's find an attorney and draw up a will before you jump"
--> might as well do both of ours while we're at it
--> attorney looks at our situation and says, "why the hell don't you own a house? you're wasting so much money on taxes!"
--> we buy a house
--> attorney says, "and since you can't get married in the US, i always advise my home-owning clients to register as domestic partners since it's the only government document that says 'we were lovers, not just friends' in the event of a dispute
--> my 31st b-day party where we 'got as hitched as carole migden could get us'
so yeah -- 2 of life's biggest decisions happened because kelly felt like jumping out of a plane :)
